Shipping With Firebird Farms: Our Policies

Thank you for choosing to support Firebird Farms! We’re honored to share our love for yaks with you and work hard on the ranch in addition to shipping meat. Our ranch is very isolated and we ship orders every two weeks. Depending on the timing of your order, it may go out with the next order group. If you have a time-sensitive order, PLEASE EMAIL us and we will do our best to get it to you sooner. Additional shipping/handling may apply. Below you will find our Firebird Farms shipping policies for our artisanal yak provisions.

Yak Meat Shipping

To ensure your yak meat products are delivered with the utmost care we can offer, we’re happy to provide shipping throughout the continental US* on orders of $150 or more. We require a minimum purchase of $150 on meat products to ship with the quality we’re committed to.

The cost of shipping meat on orders of $150 or more is based on weight. For meat orders up to 8 lbs, shipping fees are $15/lb. Meat orders from 8-19 lbs will incur shipping fees of $10/lb. For orders over 20 lbs, please contact Firebird Farms for a custom order. All meat orders (with the exception of bull skulls) are shipped using priority mail 1-2 day shipping to ensure freshness. 

Are you our neighbor living in Oregon, California, or Washington? All meat orders over $150 receive free shipping! For locals in our direct area, contact us to ask about pickup options.

Mindful Shipping: Yak Meat

The care we take with our grass-fed, and environmentally friendly-raised animals extends down to the last detail, including the shipment packaging for yak meat. We strive to keep sustainability in mind while shipping your meat order and use the most sustainable and functional packaging available. Insulated using Green Cell Foam to ensure quality and freshness, our meat is shipped in recyclable and compostable boxes. 

Mercantile Shipping: Dry Goods & Accessories

We’re proud to offer free shipping on mercantile orders for our crafted yak products including dry goods, yak yarn, and accessories. 

*Firebird Farms currently ships dry goods free throughout the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia). In order for us to ship meat orders, we require a minimum purchase of $150. Oregon, Washington, and California will receive free shipping on meat orders over $150 or more. The remaining locations will be subject to a shipping fee based on the weight of their meat product order.
